Simply put, the mouse is used to select files and operate the computer, and the keyboard is used to enter text and other commands.
mouse:
An input device of a computer, divided into two types: wired and wireless. It is also an indicator of the vertical and horizontal coordinates of the computer display system. It is named “mouse” because it looks like a mouse. The standard name of “mouse” should be “mouse”, the English name is “Mouse”, the use of the mouse is to make the operation of the computer easier and faster, instead of the cumbersome instructions of the keyboard.
keyboard:
The keyboard is the most commonly used and the most important input device. Through the keyboard, English letters, numbers, punctuation marks, etc. can be input into the computer, so as to issue commands to the computer and input data. At first, this type of keyboard was mostly used in branded machines. Brand machines such as HP and Lenovo were the first to adopt this type of keyboard, which was widely praised and was once regarded as a feature of brand machines. With the passage of time, independent products with various shortcut functions are gradually sold separately on the market, and with dedicated drivers and setting software, personalized operations can also be realized on compatible machines.
How the mouse works
The mouse can be divided into a mechanical mouse and an optical mouse according to its working principle. The mechanical mouse is mainly composed of a rolling ball, a roller, and a grating signal sensor. When you drag the mouse, it drives the rolling ball to rotate, and the rolling ball drives the roller to rotate. The photoelectric pulse signal generated by the grating signal sensor installed at the end of the roller reflects the displacement change of the mouse in the vertical and horizontal directions, and then through the computer Program processing and conversion to control the movement of the cursor arrow on the screen. The optical mouse detects the displacement of the mouse, converts the displacement signal into an electrical pulse signal, and then controls the movement of the mouse arrow on the screen through the processing and conversion of the program. The optical mouse replaces the rollerball with a photoelectric sensor. This type of sensor requires special pads with stripes or dot patterns to cooperate with.
How the keyboard works
1. The mechanical keyboard (Mechanical) uses similar metal contact switches. The working principle is to make the contacts turn on or off. It has the characteristics of simple technology, high noise, easy maintenance, strong rhythm when typing, and the feeling will not change after long-term use.
2. Plastic membrane keyboard (Membrane) keyboard is divided into four layers in total, realizing no mechanical abrasion. Its characteristics are low price, low noise, and low cost, but after long-term use, the hand feel will change due to material problems. Has occupied most of the market share.
3. Conductive rubber keyboard (Conductive Rubber) contact structure is connected by conductive rubber. There is a layer of electrically conductive rubber bumps inside the keyboard, and each button corresponds to a bump. When pressed, the contacts below are connected. This type of keyboard is a transitional product from a mechanical keyboard to a membrane keyboard in the market.
4. Capacitives without contact use a principle similar to a capacitive switch. Changing the distance between the electrodes when pressing the key causes the capacitance to change to drive the encoder. It is characterized by no wear and good sealing.
